(And the reason that I’m keeping this record is so that I can look back in years to come. It’ll also save me e-mailing my friends with details as I can just point them here!)
Saturday 4th July 2009 This year after the RSC Open Day, I opted to stay up in Stratford-Upon-Avon and visit Althorp House in Northamptonshire the next day as it's only about an hour away. Althorp House is the house of the family of Diana, Princess Of Wales and is where she was brought up, plus where she is now buried. It's a lovely house where lots of famous people have stayed as the Spencers have always been well-connected. People like Winston Churchill have stayed there. Afterwards I went to the Oval Lake which was really peaceful. In the middle there is the island where Diana is buried and it seemed really suitable to me, which isn't the impression I expected to get.
When I was there a guide was saying that she is buried just behind the stone monument:
(including her wedding dress):
Roll on my next trip!
