Kasim played an hour long set, the support band played again and then Kasim played his second set. The majority of the songs in each set were different. This venue is the one mentioned in the movie This Is Spinal Tap so is quite a prestigious place to play in the area. Kasim played a selection from his normal set list and also included Malle Babbe in Flemish. |

Front Porch Music, Valparaiso, IN Have Guitar, Will Travel Tour (Kasim Sulton)This was another informal location (the basement cafe of a music store) so Kasim was suitably attired. Kasim purchased a dulcimer before the set. Along with the a selection from his usual set, Kasim told spoke about the singer / songwriter Terry Reid and how Kasim used to play his songs when he was just starting out in the music business on Staten Island before he sang his song Speak Now Or Forever Hold Your Peace. Kasim also mentioned his record deal with Sphere Sound Records for his forthcoming album Quid Pro Quo which will he said would be released in April. He said that the album will be called Quid Pro Quo because he gets so much from his fans and the audiences that he wants to give something back…..”you give me something, I give you something”. |

The Abbey Pub, Chicago, IL Have Guitar, Will Travel Tour (Kasim Sulton) Opening act: Kristen Shout This was Kasim's second solo visit to The Abbey Pub and was his largest solo audience of the year. Kasim sang for about 75 minutes and then, as there was another show following his, he moved to the attached bar area to sign autographs and meet people. By the time he arrived, the queue stretched the whole length of the room. Before the gig, Kasim gave a private performance of his half written new song Sacrifice |

Kasim to open for Meat Loaf? Due to the way that KasimInfo.com lists all of Kasim's appearances with Meat Loaf, the Pine Music Jam website got the impression that Kasim would be opening at all the Summer concerts for Meat Loaf. This was subsequently corrected but many believe that it was this incident (and the fact that Kasim was listed likewise on Pollstar.com) that gave Meat Loaf the idea to use his band members to open the concerts. |
