19.30 - According to the 21st paragraph in a review of the 1980 album Cultosaurus Erectus by Blue Oyster Cult on MartinPopOff.com, Kasim Sulton was the inspiration behind the track Hungry Boys! In case the review disappears at some point, it says:
"But all smirks are wiped off collective faces with track two, Albert and Caryn's fast-paced rocker 'Hungry Boys' (originally 'Hungry Boys In Brooklyn', sung by both Joe and Al), a song that takes a twistedly black humourous look at, well, looking for and craving drugs. Albert: "'Hungry Boys' was inspired by Kasim Sulton in the summer of 1977, when we were on tour with Utopia in Canada. I believe we were in Winnipeg, and Kasim came to my room and said 'I am starved! I can really use something to eat. Is there anything to eat?' And I said 'Well, I brought some apples back from the gig and I've got some beers.' And he went 'Ugh! But I'll take an apple,' so he did and he left. Caryn was there with me at the time. She was pregnant with my oldest son, and I said, you know that gives me an idea for a song, 'Hungry Boys', listen to this! And originally it sounded more like Utopia and it was really dedicated to Kasim. But she said 'This is a terrible idea, but we can make it into something else.' It was her idea to make it about a drug deal, people from Queens that she was familiar with." Sidenote: One of Buck's rare non-BOC sessions was for Sulton's solo record, on which Buck can be distinctly heard on three tracks."

01.15 - This is an interesting link that I found in a search as it contains a directory of several reviews and photos on KasimSulton.com of solo Kasim Sulton gigs and Meat Loaf concerts that I don't remember ever being linked to the website itself. Some of the best quotes there are:
"He wasn't even a quarter of the way through the song before you could tell that the audience liked what they were hearing and some cheers started to arise from the crowd."
"At first was a small amount of chatter during Kasim's set, but upon looking around at everyone, it could be seen that Kasim's wonderful voice and engaging charm and personality were winning them over."
"I must say Kasim is extraordinarily handsome in person and he was so personable."
"I have to say I love his music more and more each time I see him perform."
01.00 - The E-Bay auction for a copy of Lights On came to a close yesterday with a winning bid of $5.51. Also the auction for a copy of Kasim came to a close yesterday with a winning bid of $6.50 after two bids.

11.00 - There are three very positive reviews of Quid Pro Quo on ElectronicToyBox.com. All 3 reviews give the album 5 stars and are titled "Quid Pro Veritas!!!", "How music should be" and "A very satisfying listen". Amongst the reviews are the phrases:
"You can hear the influence of Todd Rundgren and Jim Steinman. After that, the debate should be whether artists like Joan Jett, Ronnie Spector and Celine Dion influenced him or he influenced them."
"To date, Kasim has been under-noticed, but for those who take the time to listen, he provides a listening experience extraordinaire."
"I bought the album and listened to it over and over again. The acoustic versions just blew me away with the melody and sheer brilliance of this artist. I only hope that he releases an acoustic album in the future so others can enjoy what I did that night."
"Highlights include "Sacrifice", a nice up-tempo song. "Heaven Help the Child" is a tear-jerker song you might hear at a wedding - a beautiful, touching song that beats the heck out of "Wind Beneath My Wings"."
"A fine CD - with a nice surprise at the end of track 10. It seems Kasim Sulton has put together 10 very nice tracks, not a clunker in the bunch."
"All in all, a CD that won't be taken out of the CD changer for a L O N G time!"
The CD can be bought from this link on that website and it gives the Sales Rank as 119,898.
