16.00 - Here is a photo of Kasim at the Clearwater gig on Friday from TRConnection.com. The following comment was also posted about the gig:
"Poor Kasim! At the begining he is subjected to the flimsy trade show stage imploding in front of him....a piece of plexiglass between him and Prairie came crashing down knocking over some of the lights. Then almost immediately after that, his ironing board keyboard starts rotating counterclockwise from it's upright position....very slowly till it was all they way down. Kasim was watching it from the corner of his eye the whole time. Stagehands had that dumb-founded look...almost scared to get onto the stage to take corrective action."
15.30 - According to the post below from a Todd Rundgren mailing list, it sounds as though Kasim helped out a few fans last night:
"We were in the loge seating area on VIP passes, and when we went in an HOB employee told us that "the band only gets ten seats up here", and they let us in and stopped taking VIP passes, even though there are supposed to be 25 for each night.
Half an hour before the show started, Kasim walked over to this person and talked animatedly with her for more than a minute, because a few people he was trying to seat in loge were apparently being denied. The result was that these additional people were allowed into the loge seating area."
11.00 - Some more details of Kasim's appearances at Summerfest have been added to the Gigs section of the site or click here for the direct link.
07.30 - There's a review of Lights On under the "lost classics" section of UsedBin.com:
"PRICE/SULTAN - Lights On
(CBS Records - 1986)
A duo so schizophrenic and unlikely you just gotta love it. Flashy guitar rocker Thommy Price, and seasoned session player Kasim Sultan (of Todd Rundgren’s Utopia) hooked up for this one off project, with results sounding like Hall & Oates meets the Flashdance soundtrack. While that may sound like a nightmare to some, snappy little pop gems like "Shotgun Shy", "No TV No Phone", and "Take Me Away", are undeniably hook laden wonders. "Reckless and Wild" is a bouncy rocker in the spirit of "Dancing With Myself", while "Oh No" sounds like a pre-Jellyfish run thru of "Wanna Stay Home". Cute melodies, smooth vocals; All in all, a really good listen."
01.30 - Here are a couple of photos of Kasim Sulton from the Reverend Guitars website.

This is also a review of this concert on PalmBeachPost.com that briefly mentions Kasim and the following concert was posted by a fan on TRConnection.com:
"Todd was in a flame-orange suit and Sulton was without a shirt (but he kept the jacket and silk tie). Prairie Prince as a deacon? Hmm. I would have liked to see more action from Kasim (what a monster bass player) but no opportunities arose (though I did hear him slip in a few 16th note runs in a few places)."
08.30 - Some photos of Kasim Sulton at the Clearwater gig last night have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link. Many thanks to Sherrie Williams for all these photos. (It seems that Kasim's light pink suit has been found at the back of the bus!)

19.00 - Kasim Sulton sent a message to his mailing list (which has also been posted to the front page of KasimSulton.com). As well as a lovely narrative about Todd Rundgren, Kasim announced that on Monday 28th June he will be hosting a Star Clinic about how to best introduce interested children in playing a musical instrument and later that evening he will be playing a solo gig. Both these events take place at Summerfest in Milwaukee. The Gigs section of the site has been updated with the links.
09.45 - Some more photos of Kasim at the Tallahassee gig on Monday have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link. Many thanks to John Davisson for all these photos.
06.00 - The set list and some photos of Kasim at the Jacksonville gig on Saturday have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link. Many thanks to John Davisson for all these photos.

02.00 - Apparently both TRBazaar.com and Amazon.com are listing The Basement Tapes as being "Out of print" (SlickMusic have not stocked it for a while). If anybody knows where it can be purchased online please e-mail me at SueW@KasimInfo.com as I know of a fan who is looking for a copy.
01.00 - The Kasim Sulton Magazine #11 is now available to download. It was originally issued on Tuesday 18th November 2003 and contains the following articles:

04.00 - There are some close-up photos of Kasim Sulton at the Tallahassee, Florida concert on Monday on TRConnection.com here, here and here and some band shots here and here. It looks like Kasim was wearing his "priest" shirt under his "pimp" suit that night. (Has anyone else noticed that since Kasim left home on 8th May he has only worn his red WAT suit and not his light pink one which makes me wonder if he packed it for this leg of the tour!)
Tuesday 18th May 2004
18.45 - Todd Rundgren is now listed on JoeJackson.com about playing a gig on the same bill on 24th August at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, NYC.
05.00 - Kasim receives a mention on AccessAtlanta.com (no subscription is neccessary on this link). There are also photos of him on this site on pages 1, 2 and 8.
03.00 - The Discography section of the site has been updated with details about Kasim Sulton playing on Lulu's latest album.

09.45 - The following is a comment taken from TRConnection.com about the concert on Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida:
"The stage was VERY SMALL! The crew was only able to set up 2 metal boxes (that's what I call them anyway) instead of 4 so Kasim and Jessie got to actually stand on the stage but everything was very crowded. Great job to the crew!"
08.15 - The set list, reviews and some comments about the Philadelphia gig have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link.

11.15 - The set list, a review and some comments about the Webster Hall, NYC gig last Friday have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link.
06.30 - This site (which is all in German) has some details about Quid Pro Quo and has Sacrifice available to download. Most of the fans have had some nice things to say about the album and the track has had 12 downloads in 184 days. Unfortunately it only has an average rating of 1.4 out of 6 but that is probably because it is easy to mistake that 6 is for the best track and 1 is for a track that you do not like! The descrption of Kasim is:
"Kasim Sulton, singer & songwriter aus New York / Staten Island
Solo Project - Quid Pro Quo
Bassist, Backgroundsänger, Musical Director von Meat Loaf"
Saturday 15th May 2004
21.00 - Here is a link to some photos of Meat Loaf in New Zealand with Kasim visible in some of the shots. Many thanks to Andy King for this link.
19.30 - Here is a discussion about an August double-bill gig in New York City of Todd Rundgren (and Kasim) with Joe Jackson.
19.00 - Kasim receives a mention in this review by Bebe Buell of the Portland and New York City concerts. The relevant part says "I hadn't seen the guys in the band in eons so that was very nice. Especially Kasim - he and I were always buddies in the old days. He still looks exactly the same- hasn't aged a bit!" On a similar note this review of the Norfolk gig contains the comment "Anyone notice Kasim still looks like he's 25yrs.old? That guy doesn't age!".
08.15 - This is a great photo of Kasim showing us how loose-jointed he is by putting his hands on his shoulders!
08.00 - Kasim is listed in the gig title on this Charlotte website. As it will soon disappear it says "Todd Rundgren & The Liars w/ Kasim Sultan & more".
07.30 - Tonight Kasim Sulton's gig with Todd Rundgren is in Jacksonville, Florida. When Kasim last played in this city (in December 2002) he had a solo apearance at a Borders store arranged that he had to cancel. Kasim then made the post on a messageboard:
"My only hope is once Meat tours in 2003, Florida is in the plans. I'll make these appearances up then.
K"
Friday 14th May 2004
11.30 - Click here for the forum about bootlegs for trade of the Liars tour. Currently there doesn't appear to be a thread for the Rochester gig (where Kasim Sulton sang a solo song).
10.00 - According to a few fans, in an online chat earlier this week Todd Rundgren confirmed that the band line-up for the August and September gigs would remain the same.

19.45 - Here are some good photos of Kasim from Webster Hall, NYC on Friday that were posted to TRConnection.com by various people:

12.00 - There's a few Kasim mentions in a review that was posted to a Todd Rundgren mailing list about the gig last night in Carrboro, NC last night:
"There were a number of technical difficulties, mostly involving Kasim, though he seemed to be a good sport about everything and his playing certainly wasn't affected. Twice his keyboard came down when it shouldn't have, taking his mic stand down with it; the second time, Jesse rescued him and his equipment and pointed out to Kasim that he hadn't tightened the knob that keeps it from falling back down. On two other occasions Kasim's bass was not producing sound, but the situation was quickly corrected."
10.30 - There's a great photo of Kasim playing Sweet at the Portland, ME gig here. Plus this is a link to another photo by Mark Duvais of Kasim full-length.
10.00 - Some new dates have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour schedule over the past week. They are:
5/30 - Memphis, TN
5/31 - Nashville, TN
6/5 - Royal Oak, MI
8/26 - Oshkosh, WI
8/28 - Beaver Creek, CO
The Gigs section of the site has the ticketing links and the venue info.
09.30 - Here is an interesting thread about people's favorite Utopia concerts that includes some nice mentions of Kasim.
09.15 - The Journal on KasimSulton.com has been updated - it seems that both Kasim Sulton and Todd Rundgren thought that the New York City gig was one of the best too!
09.00 - Sorry for almost a week of no updates to the site! (Despite no updates the site still managed an average of 3,570 hits a day!) Eventually I ended up staying for the Norfolk, VA concert too which delayed my return home. I thought that the show and especially the audience at the Philadelphia concert were much flatter than at the New York City one so I was glad to see a great gig again in Norfolk the next evening. The tracks on Liars definitely sound far better live than they do on the CD!

21.00 - The set list, a review and some comments about the Peekskill, NY gig on Saturday have been added to the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour section of the site or click here for the direct link.
20.30 - There are some great photos of Kasim at the Farmingdale gig last Wednesday on TRConnection.com:

12.00 - A live version of This Must Be Love is now the lead song on KasimSulton.com. (Unfortunately it appears that the password to Kasim's Jounal must be lost again as it's 26 days and 18 gigs since it was last updated!)
11.00 - Sanctuary Records (in association with Peter Noble PR) have added some photos of Kasim Sulton on their page about the forthcoming Todd Rundgren concerts in UK.
06.00 - Overnight Kasim Sulton sent a message to his mailing list about Quid Pro Quo version 2.
05.45 - Yesterday Kasim Sulton chatted with fans again in the ShoutBox on the messageboard attached to KasimInfo.com. He stayed for 17 minutes. Click here for the full transcript. The main points that Kasim made were:
"QPQ 2 is here!"
Kasim suggested runing a contest with the prize of a fan sitting on the stage at the London gig
There is talk of Todd Rundgren playing a festival in Ireland with Van Morrison, plus a gig in Paris, France
