08.00 - This is part of an e-mail I received from Scott Van Dusen of Sphere Sound Records yesterday:
"I just wanted you to know that my former co-worker and friend Unkle Roger McCall was murdered yesterday in Rochester. He died of gunshot wounds while
collecting rent at one of his rental properties.
Uncle Roger was the voice of many Kasim Sulton commercials for Sphere Sound Records, (including the one on our website) and the WCMF DJ who was responsible for breaking the first Utopia music in the early '70's.
He was a fan of Kasim's and interviewed him many times over the years, including the most recent interview on Kas's 2001 tour. (he even attended the show at the Little Theater.)
I am deeply saddened, as he was among the few and best of my radio friends...Unk was 52 years old. Unk was a DJ with WCMF for over 35 years, and worked the 10:00pm -2:00am shift, Monday through Friday...He was a legend in the American Radio business..."

I did sent out a mass email but something is wrong with the program I use and I don't believe anyone got it.

10.30 - Adrian Donoghue has sent over 100 photos of the Meat Loaf concert on Tuesday which have been added to the Gigs section of the site or click here for the direct link. Many thanks to Adrian Donoghue for all these photos. As there are so many, as I do for other websites, the best photos of Kasim Sulton are:
Artistic orange light
Concentrating in Testify
Dueting with Meat Loaf in Testify
White really suits him!
With John Miceli
With Paul Crook
Although he's sung the song hundreds of times, he still shows such emotion in it!
"So that's where that chord is"!
At least one of them looks good on stage!
Mid note!
More emotion
Amazing lighting...really effective with the white shirt
Is that a different guitar or just the lighting on his black one?
