As Foghat are also playing a set at this gig and this is a casino, it seems likely that Blue Öyster Cult will play a shorter set than usual.

During the five day cruise Kasim Sulton played three sets as part of Blue Öyster Cult.

Today the Rock Legends Cruise on The Liberty Of The Seas is cruising all day as they are sailing back to Fort Lauderdale, FL from Labadee on the northern coast of Haiti. Thankfully it is expected to be quite calm today.

Unfortunately for everyone on board, Blue Öyster Cult do not play a set today.

This is a private resort leased to the cruise line Royal Caribbean International until 2050. The resort is completely tourist-oriented and is guarded by a private security force. The site is fenced off from the surrounding area and passengers are not allowed to leave the property. However the attractions there include a Haitian flea market, beaches, watersports, a water-oriented playground, a roller-coaster-type ride and a zip-line so there is no real reason for them to wish to leave the area! Royal Caribbean International contribute substantial money and jobs to the local economy plus they pay the Haitian government US$6 per tourist.

It is expected to be about 85 degrees today in Labadee.

The ship sets sail at 6pm tonight which is the time that Blue Öyster Cult play a set for about two hours in the Platinum Theatre. This is the third and final gig of the cruise for the band.

Blue Öyster Cult play a set for about two hours tonight starting at 11.30pm. This will be on the Deck Stage.

This cruise is sponsored by the Native American Heritage Association with proceeds from this cruise benefiting NAHA’s mission to provide emergency assistance and self-help programs to the Sioux Native Americans living on reservations in South Dakota.

Tickets for this five day / four night cruise starts at $549 for sharing with 4 other people and up to $5999 for a stateroom with a balcony.

The trip is called the Rock Legends Cruise and other band involved include Foreigner, Paul Rodgers, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Kansas, Bachman & Turner, The Marshall Tucker Band and Foghat as well as several lesser known artists. They will play on three stages on the ship at various times over the next few days.

The cruise takes place on The Liberty Of The Seas from Royal Caribbean which (according to the crusie company) is "one of the biggest, fastest and most luxurious passenger vessels in service today. The passengers will be served by a crew of 1,300 on 18 decks. It has a gross tonnage of 160,000 and is almost as long as four football fields plus it cruises at 21.6 knots. The ship also features on-board surfing, a boxing ring, a full-sized volleyball/basketball court, cantilevered whirlpools and a range of gourmet restaurants.

Today they set sail at 5.30pm from Fort Lauderdale, FL and Blue Öyster Cult are due to play a set for about two hours at 6pm on the Studio B stage.

This is a rescheduled gig as the original October date was affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Falls Church, VA is about 4 hours south west of Staten Island and about 30 minutes west of Washington, DC.

The gig tonight is at The State Theatre which is located at 220 North Washington Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.

Doors for the gig open at 7pm but the gig does not start until 9pm. This is beacuse the venue is a half-seated, half-standing venue. If you would like to sit for the show, there is a balcony with theatre-style seats (first-come, first-served), and there are usually dining tables on the main level. The rest of the venue is standing room, with open areas in front of the stage as well as room around the 4 bars and behind the dining tables. The only way to have a guaranteed seat is to make a dinner reservation or to be one of the first people in when the doors open.

This will be Kasim's third appearance at this venue, having played a gig here on Saturday 4th December 2010 and Thursday 26th May 2011.

The address of the venue is The Record Collector, 358 Farnsworth Ave, Bordentown, New Jersey, 08505. Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8pm sharp. There will be no opening act as Kasim's gig will be two sets (so that the store can sell CDs during the interval).

Tickets for the gig are available from this link at $15 (plus charges) in advance or are $20 on the door.

This venue only has 46 seats which are sold to the first people who apply. Anyone who buys a ticket later has to stand below the stage where all the seats are so often can only hear and not see Kasim! Hopefully people seated may have more consideration for the people standing than they did in 2010.
