The two new gigs are:
Tuesday 6th September - Sellersville Theater, Sellersville, PA
Wednesday 7th - Boulton Center, Bay Shore, Long Island, NY
This means that there are currently seven gigs booked on thsi leg of the tour which currently starts on Tuesday 6th and ends on Wednesday 14th September.
The Todd Rundgren 2011 Gigs section of KasimInfo.com has been updated with venue and ticketing links.
As usual with these Tour Maps and for completition, to return to Staten Island, NY is a distance of 2,789 miles which would take one day and 21 hours to drive! Thankfully Kasim Sulton will be flying.
The 'Classic Todd Rundgren' Tour (including the Musical Survival Camp and rehearsals at the start) has covered just over four weeks. As I've written several times the tour schedule has not been the best organized as far as distances covered which is a fact that even Todd mentioned on stage!
Total Todd Rundgren Tour Mileage by road venue to venue (estimated) - 8,510 miles.
Kasim last (and first!) played at this venue on 25th October 2009 during the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour. By coincidence that gig was also the final gig of a leg of a tour.
The address of the venue is 33157 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano CA, 92675. Click here to view the venue website. The opening act is Rob Eller.
Doors for this gig open at 6pm with the show starting at 8pm. This is General Admission gig which is sold out. This venue serves dinner before the gig and diners are given priority seating at this 480 seater venue. The website says "The earlier you make reservations, the better your seats will be!" Call 949.496.8930 for dinner reservations.
Orangecounty.com will be filming the gig tonight and streaming it live. Click here to purchase it for $19.95. The recording will be available for 90 days (until October 14th) on demand at no additional cost.
The next time that Kasim Sulton will be playing as part of Todd's band is two weeks today in Niigata, Japan.
Kasim last played at this venue on 17th September 2004 during the Todd Rundgren's Liars Tour.
Click here to view the venue website and here to purchase tickets which are $40.50 each after charges. There are some seated and some general admission tickets.
The address of the venue is The Canyon Club, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills, CA 91301-3304. Doors to this gig open at 6pm although the show does not start until 9pm.
The last time that Kasim Sulton played in Lake Tahoe was on 21st September 2007 which was also as part of Todd Rundgren's band.
The address of this venue is MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa, 55 Highway 50 Lake Tahoe, Nevada and it describes itself as "incomparable beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where every comfort, luxury, and service awaits your pleasure.
Click here to view the venue website and here to purchase tickets which vary in price from $35 to $95 (plus fees of up to $7.75 per ticket) for a front row seat with a Meet and Greet with Todd. Last night the best seats available were in the third section back from the stage. This gig has table seating.
Tonight doors open at 8pm and the show is due to start at 9pm. The opening act is the Max Volume Band.
Quite often at a casino gig, the set will be shorter than normal.
New Kasim Sulton solo gig
14.15 - Kasim Sulton will be playing a solo gig on Sunday 16th October at The Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore, NY which is on Long Island.

Eliot Lewis will also be on the bill that evening.
Kasim is not playing any gigs on Monday until Wednesday and then on Thursday he plays in South Lake Tahoe, NV, on Friday in Agoura Hills, CA and on Saturday they play the final gig of the Spring / Summer tour in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Their next gig together as a band is on Saturday 30th July in Niigata, Japan.
Campaign to book Kasim into different cities
01.55 - In a campaign which is very similar to a method used by Kasim Sulton's manager back in 2001, some fans are attempting to drum up interest in their own cities for Kasim to play a gig in places that he does not usually play (and some, such as Cleveland and Chicago where he frequently does).
This is being organized by Onward Promotions but unfortunately is only open to people who are on Facebook (although if any gigs are booked through this scheme, people not on Facebook will be able to attend).
The aim is to get a miniumum of 80 people to commit to attend a gig and to purchase tickets and then the promoters will find a venue in the city and the actually book the gig.
Unfortunately the date can not be confirmed until the venue is booked which means that people have to commit to an unspecified date sometime during October and November.
These gigs will not be pure Kasim Sulton solo gigs as the promoter has linked him up with a musician called Eliot Lewis. As Kasim's solo gigs are usually up to 90 minutes in length, it means that it will eiether be a very long night or Kasim will have to play a shortened set especially as the two musicians may play some songs together too.
In the month that the campaign has been running, so far the cities which have been suggested (with number of people currently interested) are: Lynbrook, NY - 58 people Chicago, IL - 27 people Cleveland, OH - 26 people Dallas, TX - 16 people Boston, MA - 15 people Ann Arbor, MI - 13 people Charlottesville, VA - 13 people Madison, WI - 11 people Ithaca, NY - 10 people Destin, FL - 7 people Albion, NY - 4 people Sacramento, CA - 3 people
Many thanks to Laura for providing the above numbers.
The dates announced by the venues so far are:
Friday 9th September - The Newton Theatre, Newton, NJ
Saturday 10th September - Zoellner Arts Center, Bethlehem, PA
Sunday 11th September - The Ridgefield Playhouse, Ridgefield, CT
Tuesday 13th September - B.B. Kings Blues Club and Grill, New Yprk City, NY
Wednesday 14th September - Blue Ocean Music Hall, Salisbury, MA (previously announced).
The last time that Kasim Sulton played at Summerfest was on 7th July 2007 as psrt of The New Cars and prior to that was on Monday
28th June 2004 when he held a Star Clinic and then played a solo gig that evening.
Summerfest is a massive music and food festival held by the lake in downtown Milwaukee. Entry into the festival is about $15 per day and then there is no additional charge to see Todd Rundgren.
Summerfest is an annual event which lasts for 11 days and is made up of 11 stages with performances from over 700 bands. Since the mid-1970s it has run from late June through early July, usually including the 4th of July holiday. Summerfest attracts between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people each year which is why i calls itself "The World's Largest Music Festival (a title certified by Guinness World Records in 1999). The headline opening act this year at the festival was Britney Spears and Todd will be one of the final acts to pay as the festival ends tonight. Click here to view the Summerfest website.
Since Kasim Sulton played the eighth gig of the 'Classic Todd Rundgren' Tour in Oneonta, NY last Sunday, he has played two gigs around New York City, and then traveled to Wilmington, DE onto Cleveland, OH and today he plays the 13th gig of the tour in Milwaukee, WI.
Cleveland, OH (where they played the gig last night) to Milwaukee, WI is 431 miles which will take over 7 hours by road so is a long trek on two consecutive concert days!
Todd Rundgren Tour Mileage by road to date venue to venue (estimated) - 3,078 miles.
There's been so few photos of Kasim posted so far on this tour so here's an older one. Kasim at The Bitter End in 2002 by Gary "Goat" Goveia
The address of the venue is 1511 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115 and the gig tonight starts at 8pm. Tickets for this gig can be purchased from this link and vary in price from $49 to $10 (plus charges). Earlier this morning two seats together were available in the fifteenth row. The venue seats 1,000 people.
Between February 1921 and November 1922, five opulent theaters (the Allen, Ohio, State, Hanna and Palace) opened along Euclid Avenue between E. 14th and E. 17th streets. The theaters presented silent movies, theater and vaudeville. Unfortunately with the increase in the popularity of television four out of the five of these theaters closed between May 1968 and July 1969, the exception being The Hanna. However in 1970 a group known as the PlayhouseSquare Association (a nonprofit organization) was formed to make the area the center of theater culture in the Cleveland area. Playhouse Square is also known for its dedicated team of over 2,000 volunteers (known as "Red Coats" due to the red jackets they wear as part of their uniform). They provide various services for visitors including ushers, ticket takers and more. Many are retired seniors with a passion for the arts.
Of course Utopia was known as The Beatles of Ohio so Kasim Sulton has played in Cleveland numerous times in his 30+ year career. The last time he played a solo gig he was on Sunday 23rd May 2010 when he played a solo gig at the Beachland Ballroom.
The set list, comments by fans and videos of the Todd Rundgren gig that Kasim Sulton played on Sunday 26th June has been added to the Todd Rundgren 2011 Gigs section of KasimInfo.com or click here for the direct link.
The address of the venue is 818 North Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19801 and the gig starts at 8pm. Tickets vary in price from $48 (that section is sold out) to $33 plus charges. Click here to purchase tickets and here to view the venue website.
The address of the venue is 237 West 42 St., New York, NY 10036 and the concert starts at 8pm with doors opening at 6.30pm. Tickets for this gig are available from this link and vary in price from $37.50 to $57.50 (plus charges). Most of the tickets are General Admission but there are some VIP booths too.
This venue opened in June 2000 and was the third B.B. King venue (named after the blues guitarist) after the one on Beale Street in Memphis, TN and at Universal City Walk in Los Angeles.
Kasim Sulton last played at this venue on Monday 28th February 2011 as a member of Yellow Matter Custard and his next visit here will be on Tuesday 13th September!
The gig starts at 8pm and tickets were $55 or $60 (plus charges) but this 261 seat venue has sold out.
The Regent Movie Theater originaly opened in 1929 on the site and in the 1970s it was "a porno house" before it closed in the late 1980s. Local philanthropists Frank and Karen Boulton purchased the venue and gifted it to the Great South Bay YMCA in December 1997. Construction on the two million dollar YMCA Boulton Center was completed in December 2003.
Many thanks to Dale Moore and David Moore for all the photos on that page.
Kasim Sulton's week
02.00 - This week Kasim Sulton is still continuing to tour as part of Todd Rundgren's band.
As they played gigs for the past three consecutive evenings, tonight is a night off so hopefully Kasim will be able to spend most of 4th July at home as tomorrow and on Wednesday evening they are playing at two different venues in New York City.
There's no gig on Thursday evening and then on Friday they play Wilmington, DE, on Saturday Cleveland, OH and on Sunday Milwaukee, WI.
The gig tonight starts at the later time of 9pm with doors opening at 8pm. Tickets (from this link) vary in price from $30 to $50 (plus charges). This morning there were only single seats available at the higher prices but the best seats for two together were in the 16th row.
This will be Kasim Sulton's first appearance at this venue which has been open since 1898. This theater has its own theater company.
Click here to view the venue website and here for the amazing array of food and drink which is available at the venue including energy drinks!
Buffalo, NY to Oneonta, NY is 271 miles east of which over three quarters of the journey will be back along the same road as they drove yesterday! This drive will take about 4.5 hours and again it was most likely that they will have driven overnight.
Todd Rundgren Tour Mileage by road to date venue to venue (estimated) - 1,843 miles.

New Kasim Sulton video
02.30 - Kasim Sulton has added a new video (his first for 2011) onto YouTube.com.
In this video he speaks to one of the techs about the Musical Survival Camp and they load-in for the gig in Annapolis, MD last Wednesday evening.
Many thanks to Bart Versteeg for finding the video.
Kasim Sulton playing a TR gig in Buffalo, NY tonight
02.15 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the seventh gig of the 'Classic' Todd Rundgren Tour. The concert tonight is at The Tralf in Buffalo, NY. The address of the venue is 622 Main Street, Buffalo, NY, 14202. This venue is within a big entertainment complex in the city. The venue sells a selection of food (ribs, burgers etc).
Apparently The Tralf had money problems back in 2005 and closed in June of that year but managed to re-open. Originally it was known as The Trafalmadore Cafe.
Click here to view the venue website. Tickets for this concert are oficialy $30 or are $33 today (day of the show). However purchasing online in advaance comes to a total of $37.95 per ticket so it is less expensive to buy on the door but be warned that on previous visits to this venue, the gig has sold out. Click here to buy tickets online. Doors open at 7.00pm, with the gig starting at 8.00pm. This is a General Admission 21+ gig.
Tarrytown, NY to Buffalo, NY is 386 miles which will take about 6.5 hours if there is no traffic by road. This is a long drive considering they are playing on consecutive nights so it seems most likely that they will have driven overnight.
Todd Rundgren Tour Mileage by road to date venue to venue (estimated) - 1,572 miles.
The gig tonight starts at 8pm and tickets vary in price from $42 to $68. The best seats currently available are for $53 in the 7th row. Click here for the ticketing link.
The address of the venue is 13 Main Street, Tarrytown, NY 10591 and this venue has 843 seats. It was built in 1885 by chocolate manufacturer William Wallace and is one of only 6% of theaters in the United States built before 1900. The Music Hall was one of the first theaters to show silent films in 1901 and was the venue for several national causes, including women's suffrage in 1915. Mae West and Woodrow Wilson were among the first performers and speakers to grace The Music Hall stage. Unfortunately The Music Hall had to close its doors in 1976, largely due to the rise in popularity of multiplexes and television, and it was planned that the theater was to be torn down to make way for a parking lot! Thankfully the venue was saved and was placed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1980.
Artists who have appeared at this venue include Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, James Taylor and Rufus Wainwright. Kasim Sulton last played at this venue on 11th October 2008 during the Todd Rundgren Arena Tour.
