The drive between the two cities would take a staggering one day and seventeen hours by road as it is 2,722 miles. Thankfully Kasim will be flying and a non-stop flight will take less than 6 hours but will cost over $700 in coach. Alternatively flights changing in cities like Atlanta or Denver will only cost about $120 and the total travel time will be less than 8 hours.

I hope to catch up over the next few days.

The concert tonight is actually a Hall and Oates gig with The Hooters playing first, followed by Todd and then Hall and Oates playing and there are rumors that all three bands may play together at the end. Unfortunately Todd said at his gig on Sunday evening that they are only scheduled to play for 35 minutes tonight.

Tickets for this gig vary in price from $150 VIP to $4 (plus charges) and can be purchased from this link.

The publicty about this concert reads: "As the final days of the Spectrum approach, three of Philadelphia’s most popular musicians – Daryl Hall and John Oates, The Hooters and Todd Rundgren - will all perform together on one stage for one night only, entitled The Last Call as part of the Final Farewell Concert Series at the Spectrum. Live Nation and its predecessor, Electric Factory Concerts, have a long and storied history in the Spectrum, including producing the arena's very first event, the two-day Quaker City Jazz Festival (September 30-October 1, 1967). The company is rolling back ticket prices for this special Spectrum celebration to those of the first Spectrum show - $4, $5, and $6. A limited number of VIP tickets, which include a post-concert reception and a certificate for a commemorative brick from the Spectrum (after the venue closes), will also be available."

The drive between the two cities will take about two and a half hours by road and is 124 miles.

The address of the venue is 33 West Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. According to its website Rams Head On Stage is "the fastest growing venue of its size and is currently ranked #1 night club with under 500 seats in the world". This is a 21+ venue and last night Little Richard played here.

The drive between the two cities will take about seven hours by road and is 373 miles.

There are options to purchase one file of the entire gig or individual files of each song for $10 per option or it costs $15 to purchase both.

The address of the venue is 315 Gregory St, Rochester NY 14620. Click here to view the venue website. The gig tonight starts at 8.00pm (doors at 7.00pm) and it is a General Admission gig. Tickets are $30.50 (plus charges).

This venue was built in 1905 and was originally a Parish Hall. It has hosted a massive selection of events in the past century. The last time that Kasim Sulton played here was on Monday 28th January 2008 and the two gigs at this venue following that gig were a fund raiser for a pit bull dog and a concert for guide dogs!

The approximate distance between the two cities is 383 miles which would take about seven hours by road in a north west direction if Kasim was traveling from venue to venue directly.

On Sunday night they played on Long Island, NY, tonight they play in Rochester, NY and on Wednesday in Annapolis, MD. They then play in Philadelphia, PA on Friday evening and on Sunday way over in San Juan Capistrano, California.

From city to city the total distance is 3,397 miles (although Kasim will fly part of it).

The address of this venue is 37 West Main Street, Bay Shore, NY and the gig starts at 7pm. Click here for tickets but they sold out a couple of weeks ago so returns on the door may be the only way to purchase any.

Kasim last played at this venue on 19th December 2008 (again with Todd Rundgren). The YMCA Boulton Center has been constructed within the former Regent Movie Theater that was built in 1929. The venue describes itself as "The YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts of the Great South Bay YMCA seeks to establish itself as a premier cultural institution on Long Island. The YMCA Boulton Center’s mission is to provide high quality arts programs that entertain, educate and inspire the culturally, racially and economically diverse population of Long Island. The 261 seat stadium style theater offers the audience and performers an intimate environment and excellent site lines. The stage is 25 feet deep and 40 feet wide; there are backstage dressing rooms."

Cleveland to Long Island is 511 miles which would take about nine hours by road or a non-stop flight will take about ninety minutes.

This was Kasim's first gig at this venue and it won't be the last as it was well attended and there was loads of applause both during and after his 97 minute set.
