Kasim Sulton in Montréal, Canada
08.30 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the 13th concert of the 2nd North America leg of the Meat Loaf Three Bats (Bat Out Of Hell III) Tour. The concert is at the Bell Centre in Montréal, Canada.
The concert starts at 7.30pm with doors opening at 6.30pm. There is not expected to be an opening act. The adress of the venue is 72 1260 De la Gauchetière Ouest, Montréal, Québec, Canada, H3B 5E8. Click here for the English version of the venue website. (This venue is sponsored by Bell Bank hence its name.) This venue is mainly an ice skating arena and is the home of the Montreal Canadians team.
This venue is a multi-use facility so it can seat 5,000 to 21,500 people depending on how it is set up. There are seats available for this concert although quite where they are located is unclear as the seating map is very confusing! (I'm not even 100% sure where my own seat is tonight!)
This is a relatively new venue as the construction did not start until 1993 and the first concert held here (Celine Dion) was in April 1996. I believe that this will be the first time that Kasim Sulton has played at this venue.

Gilford, NH to Montreal, Canada is 247 miles north west which takes just over 4 hours by road but it also depends on how long it takes to get through immigration into Canada. (Due to "an incident" it's known that at least some of the vehicles on the tour traveled overnight.)
Meat Loaf 3 Bats Tour Mileage by road to date venue to venue (estimated) - 2,398 miles.

16.00 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the 12th concert of the 2nd US leg of the Meat Loaf Three Bats (Bat Out Of Hell III) Tour. The concert is at the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion in Gilford, NH.
The concert starts at 7.30pm with doors opening at 6.00pm. There is not expected to be an opening act but there is a second stage at the venue and the Kieren McNally Band will be playing there from 6.30pm. The adress of the venue is 72 Meadowbrook Lane, Gilford, NH, 03247-7296. Click here for the venue website.
This is the venue where Meat Loaf said a couple of years ago on stage that this was the first time that he had performed Paradise By The Dashboard Light by an actual lake as it is on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee! According to the blurb on the website this venue "started as a vision on a grass field in the middle of a tree farm and we have since evolved into northern New England’s premier summer concert venue"
This is another outdoor concert but the venue sent out a helpful e-mail yesteday stating that there is 0% chance of precipitation! There are a few seats still available - the best currently available is in the 15th row.

10.45 - The set list for Kasim Sulton's solo gig last night in Cleveland, Ohio was:
Sacrifice
Somebody Loves You
Libertine
There Goes My Inspiration
Cliché
Before She Was Gone
Yellow Cab
Drive
Are You Happy Now?
I Don't Mind At All
Sometimes Love Is A Dangerous Thing
Blackbird

Me and Bobby McGee
Don't Hold Me Back
Meat Loaf's guitarist Randy Flowers joined Kasim on stage from Yellow Cab onwards (it was his birthday so they brought out a birthday cake for him) plus CC Coletti (Meat Loaf's background singer) sang Me and Bobby McGee.
Kasim played for about an hour and a quarter and Blackbird was sung for the first time (I think). Several people I spoke to after the gig said that it was their favorite Kasim solo gig that they had seen.

01.15 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the 10th concert of the 2nd US leg of the Meat Loaf Three Bats (Bat Out Of Hell III) Tour. The concert is at Musikfest in Bethleham, PA.
Musikfest started in 1984 when nearly 182,000 people attended a small, grass-roots music festival in Bethlehem, PA. It featured 118 performers and 295 performances on six stages. Now, 23 years later, the event has grown into a 10 day musical spectacular that attracts more than one million people from throughout the country and abroad. There are now 13 stages with 9 of them free. This year the festival runs from 3rd to 12th August and headliners on other days include The Black Crowes, BB King with Al Green, The Moody Blues and Joe Walsh.
The concert tonight starts at 8.00pm (doors open at 6.00pm) and tickets vary in price from $24 to $44 which makes it one of the cheapest concerts on this tour. There are still tickets available directly from the festival box office.
The address of the venue is 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. This is a "come rain, come shine" concert but there is only a 20% chance of precipitation. The temperature during the concert will be in the low 80s with only a slight breeze. Sunset is at 8.11pm.

Kasim Sulton at the PNC Bank Arts Center
13.30 - Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the 6th concert out of the 22 scheduled on the 2nd US leg of the Meat Loaf Three Bats (Bat Out Of Hell III) Tour. The concert tonight is at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
The address of the venue is Exit 116, Garden State Parkway, Holmdel, NJ 07733 and the concert starts at 8.00pm with doors opening at 7.00pm. The blurb on the venue website says "Welcome to Live Nation at the fan-friendly PNC Bank Arts Center. This is our 40th season of providing world-class entertainment and we are proud to say the PNC Bank Arts Center has become one of the most successful venues of its kind in the nation, and that is a direct result of each and every one of you, the fans!. However fans recall that the last time that Meat Loaf played here the venue had a very strict "no camera" policy that they adhered to but hopefully that may have been relaxed slightly with so many fans having such good cameras within their cell phones.
This is a venue that has seats under a cover at the front and then an open lawn area at the back. The venue has low-profile chairs available for rent and personal lawn chairs are allowed provided the seating area is less than 9 inches from the ground. As a part of a "WorryFree Lawn Chair Program", the first 300 lawn guests will receive a free lawn chair rental. This venue also has a "Family Friendly Zone" which is located on the lawn to the right of the stage. The Family Friendly Zone is a smoke-free and alcohol-free area.
Although the weather won't affect Kasim or the people at the front of the venue, it may be of a concern to people on the lawn. During the soundcheck, it is expected to be about 81 degrees with scattered thunderstorms and a 50% chance of precipitation. During the concert itself it is expected to be about 76 degrees but again with the chance of scattered thunderstorms and a 50% chance of precipitation. (I've just spoken to someone on the phone near that area and heard two massive claps of thunder!) Thankfully the wind will be very slight all day and evening.
This venue are offering some special "on day of show" tickets from this link. Currently it's possible to buy two seats together in the 10th row on Kasim's side of the stage. The tickets are $65.25 each, plus a $12.30 Convenience Charge each, plus a $6 Building Facility charge for each ticket! Lawn tickets are $25.25 (plus all the other charges.)
No opening act is listed for this concert (so far there have been no opening acts on this leg of the tour). The last time that Kasim Sulton played at this venue was on Saturday 10th June 2006 as part of The New Cars.
