"Last night's "Unpredictable" show in Atlanta was NOT the worst Todd Rundgren concert I've ever attended but last night's show WAS the most disappointing TR concert I've ever attended, because it could and should have been so much better than it was."
"Despite the goofy cover songs, the concert was very good and the theater was packed."
"The band. What can I say about these guys that hasn't been said before? They are truly consummate professionals and you can tell they love playing together and are masters at their craft. Love this lineup and hope they stick together for many, many more Todd shows."
"Todd had his best band with him (Jesse, Kasim, and Prairie) and Todd's voice was near-perfect; the venue, Variety Playhouse, is (next to the Fox Theatre) Atlanta's best concert hall and, unlike the Cleveland shows, the sound equipment was working (from the audience's perspective, anyway; Todd kept complaining that there must not be any monitors onstage because he couldn't hear a thing.) Also, in spite of it being a cold and rainy day, the house was packed beyond SRO, sold out-plus; and, it was packed with fans: by the time the doors opened the line stretched for three blocks."
"The concert started a half-hour late, a delay that Todd explained was because we'd sold out the show. (I'm not sure what the connection is.) He suggested that perhaps he should put on a bad show so that his next Atlanta concert would NOT sell out, and we could start it on time and in a more intimate setting. If that was his plan, I fear it worked."
"The 90-minute concert had a lazy feel to it: not "lazy" as in laid back, although it did have that feel, but "lazy" as in Todd didn't seem to be putting much into it, didn't seem to really want to be there."

The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
The address of the venue is 1099 Euclid Avenue, Atlanta, GA, 30307. The last time that Kasim Sulton played here was on 3rd April 2009 and prior to that on 17th April 2008. Click here to view the venue website. The stage is 27 feet deep by 36 feet wide and is 3 and a half feet high. Seated this venue holds 450 people but standing it can hold up to 1,050.
The concert starts tonight at 8pm with doors opening at 7pm. Tickets (from this link) are $30 in advance plus charges which bring them to $36 in total. On the door they are $32.50 each. This is a General Admission gig.
The Variety Playhouse was originally called the Euclid Theatre and opened in 1945. The theatre was vacant from 1961 until the late 1980s when it reopened as a concert venue. It was renamed the Variety Playhouse in 2007.
On Friday evening they played a gig in St Louis, MO. Venue to venue is 555 miles or over 8 hours to drive (if there is light traffic). They will go south east.
