Comments by fans posted to various messageboards and mailing lists include:
"What an EXCELLENT SHOW last night!!! Like other reviews I've read I really didn't know how I was going to like this show as I am not a big fan of "the blues" but Todd's guitar playing on these songs were just AMAZING!!! I really ended up liking the Johnson's songs BUT there is no question of course that Todd's song's were my favorites. "

"Everyone (the band) seemed to be in a good mood and Todd made a comment about Chicago fans coming out to see him play anything! Got a big cheer from the crowd!"

"The show commenced at approximately 8:45pm and continued for a very generous 2+ hours. The way it went was that they would play two Johnson tunes and then two Rundgren songs - a pattern repeated throughout the evening."

"I agree with all the recent posts. The show was fantastic. The Cubbie Bear North was the perfect venue for this type of show. The sound was excellent. Great sight lines. Very easy to get to the bar and move about. My only complaint is directed at the people recording the show on their personal communication devices. There were a fair number of people holding their recording devices above their heads most of the night. I found it to be distracting and annoying."

"The show was serious. Serious guitar, serious vocals, serious original music, serious Johnson. The show rocked! It was constructed so there were two Johnson tunes, then two TR tunes. (I laughed out loud when Todd explained the concept by saying "little Johnson.., little me".) Even though you could tell he was having some fun with it, when it got down to the tunes, it was back to business."

"The show at CBN was quite a treat, and to paraphrase Todd's comment at the start of the show, if your a fan and you show up at anything he's doing these days, you don't need to know what to expect, you'll be glad you did. He's the real deal, and is the thinking man's singer/songwriter/guitarist. There was a period 10 years or so ago, when he seemed a little lost, performance-wise, but he is as vibrant and relevant as ever now."

"The band was 'ON' and together. They seem to have progressed from the AWATS 'opener' loose garage band-y delivery I saw early on YouTube, to this tight group. I felt Prairie's drumming settled into the grove nicely. Jesse and Todd played off of each other so well. What great guitar players they are. This was our first introduction to Butters, the "Lucille" of the tour, what a treat. God, I love to hear Todd play the guitar! Kasim's voice is always so complimentary with Todd. Great vocals. Maybe it was the sound mix too, that was great to my ears. It was a heavy, well executed guitar/vocal show. So for me it worked."
