"Kasim's voice sounded great and he looked so happy."
"He was VERY animated in his banter between songs. He tried to keep it to a minimum because of his time restrictions at the venue, but he told stories, did impressions and was hysterical and the audience loved it."
"Kasim said that tonight's show was the LAST Kasim Solo ACOUSTIC show EVER!! I think his intention is to just tour with a band from now on."
"A few of us did the background vocals singing along to Set Me Free!"
"After the show, Kasim came out to meet and greet as always."
The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
The address of the venue is 575 South Fairfax Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90036 and this is an Irish Pub which also sells food of the burger-type. This venue was one of the first city taverns re-licensed after Prohibition and has been owned and operated by the same Irish family for 32 years. The walls of the pub are covered by over 70 paintings done by Irish portrait painter Neal Boyle. The club initially featured Irish troubadours performing drinking songs and traditional Irish music but has evolved to include mostly original music from up and coming songwriters and light bands. Several artists have been signed to recording contracts after performing at the club. Guest artists who have appeared here include Joan Osborne and Lenny Kravitz.
The gig tonight starts at 8pm and tickets are $12 in advance from this link or $15 (cash only) on the door.
