Road To Utopia Abandon City Back On The Steet Hammer In My Heart Trapped The Ikon Caravan Last Of The New Wave Riders
Second Set: Just One Victory "Both Chicago shows were fabulous." "Kasim was the only one who was dropped off in front and he came over to talk to everyone, took pictures and signed a bunch of stuff. This women wanted her shirt signed and Kasim tried very hard to get her to whip out her boob so he could sign that instead, all the guys in line wanted to see that! She never gave in though." "I thought the sound was FANTASTIC and again very tight." "My favorite is probably "Road To Utopia" and "Trapped" but honestly I love them all and could listen to them perform every single day!" "Kasim does a EXCELLENT job on "Does Anybody Love You?" His voice was very strong both nights. Todd was making fun of Kasim because he didn't take the microphone off from the stand. Then during "The Medley" (another big favorite) Todd went over by Kasim and had his head leaning on Kasim. It was pretty funny!!! " "I walked up the side of the venue and standing in a doorway listening to his Ipod was Kasim. We talked to him for a few minutes and he met my grandson Ryan and was the usual Kasim (gregarious soul that he is)." "The Park West is a GREAT PLACE to see Todd."

Jim Snyder has photos of Kasim Sulton at this gig here and here.
The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
The concert tonight starts at 8.00pm. Tickets for this gig vary in price from $70 to $150. (When Todd played here last in April all tickets were $52.50 General Admission.) Click here to view the venue website and here to purchase tickets. When I last checked only General Admission tickets at $70 were still available.
This gig is being broadcast as a Pay-Per-View option. Click here for more info.
The website describes the venue as "The 11,000 square-foot facility with 5 tiered levels, large balconies, 7 bars, and comfortable booths is both beautiful and practical in design". It was built in the 1920s and opened in 1925 as the Park Lane Vaudeville Theater. It was converted to the Town Theater movie theater from 1935 through until the 1960s and then it converted to Park West (a night club) in the 1970s.
Other than last night, the last time that Kasim Sulton played at this venue was on Thursday 24th April and prior to that was on Monday 6th October (both were also with Todd Rundgren). Prior to that they played two concerts here in January 2008 (as the first one sold out quickly).
They will also be playing at this venue tomorrow evening and then Kasim's next visit to Chicago will be on Friday 16th October when he plays a solo gig at The Abbey Pub.
