Road To Utopia Abandon City Back On The Steet Hammer In My Heart Trapped The Ikon Caravan Last Of The New Wave Riders
Second Set: Just One Victory "I can't say I'm the world's biggest Utopia fan, but the opening Utopia set was a great selection of some of their best songs, played in a very straightforward manner." "When the stage and house lights were off, the song "The Road to Utopia" started playing and you could see four silhouettes walking onto the stage. Still not knowing who they were, they quickly joined in with the song as the stage lights came on. Much to my surprise, it was a Utopia reunion, of sorts. Albeit, without Willie. It was great to see Roger up there enjoying himself with Kasim and Todd. The sound was not as clear and the vocals were not as present as I’d liked them to be." "The "UToPiA" set... a little rough. I felt bad for Prairie because he obviously did not have enough time to truly learn the songs. He was constantly watching Todd & Kasim for cues... which wouldn't be too obvious if he was behind them, instead he's right up front. Roger sounded great. Kasim and Todd both right on, but Willie's vocals were missed terribly. He's not as easy to replace as maybe they thought." "Unfortunately, the sound--especially the vocals--was pretty muddy, and my friend and I hoped it wouldn't continue into the AWATS portion. Kasim in particular seemed to be having a lot of problems with his audio, and even walked offstage twice to talk to a tech." "Prairie seemed to struggle a bit like he didn’t know the songs as well as he’d liked to, but still he didn’t let us down as Todd and Kasim helped out with lots of guidance. Took me back to the 80’s and all those Utopia shows I had attended." "Todd and Kasim were right on."

TheSentinel.com posted a review of this gig here.
The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
There has been a building at this location since 1899 when Captain James Frederick Oyster purchased the land but it has only been a center for the performing arts since 1979. The address of the venue is The Music Center at Strathmore, 5301 Tuckerman Lane, North Bethesda, MD 20852-3385 and I believe that this is Kasim's first gig at this venue.
Tickets for tonight's gig vary in price from $69.50 to $125 and a few days ago the best seats available were in the fourth row of the orchestra.
