No time to write a real review again so a number of comments instead! (There's a really detailed review of the Plymouth concert here.)
I've discovered that so far on this tour I've probably driven more miles than anyone as I've been racing back to London after each gig to get to work, sometimes only getting just over an hour in bed! The band have travelled 1,470 miles so far, Kasim has travelled 1,728 and I've driven 2,634 and that's with me not going to the Cork gig too!
We got there tonight at about 7.00pm but still managed to walk quite near the front which was great! Lots of people further back were picnicking and even some near the front had bought their chairs but stood before Meat Loaf came on.
As we went in we asked about how tickets were selling and we were told that the venue holds 10,000 and about 9,500 tickets were sold.
Pearl's set is growing on me less and less each time I hear it. Tonight it sounded even louder than Meat Loaf's set which is often a sign of a bad set. She really doesn't know how to move much on stage either.
One thing I haven't mentioned on this tour yet is that according to the printed set list, the jungle drums music that starts the concerts is called Oh Well.
Kasim played his black KSulton Bass throughout the whole set. He was wearing all black again (but his leather jacket) and blew into his hands to warm them up a few times at the beginning of the set.
There was one screen beside the stage (actually a fair way from it!). At one point Meat Loaf spoke to the cameraman and said that he knew which side of the fence he was on as he obviously fancied Kasim! (In fact there were few close-ups of Kasim on the screen whenever I watched!)
Unfortunately Meat Loaf's voice wasn't as good tonight. It was very noticeable at the beginning of Anything For Love as he sings that slowly. On one tour they started that song with a fast musical intro so I'm surprised that they aren't doing that again as that part of the concert really isn't doing him any favours with the critics.
There was no announcement about not being allowed to take photos although at the beginning security were stopping people. Thankfully later in the concert they were more relaxed about it.
After Anything For Love instead of going straight into Bat Out Of Hell Meat Loaf stopped the band to berate Live Nation! Apparently they were the promotors of the 4 outdoor concerts (Bath, Romsey, Castle Howard and tonight) and, amongst other things, had promised screens and a good sound system which they hadn't delivered. Meat Loaf even brought the contract on stage to show us. He then got the audience to say f@@k you to Live Nation.
Tonight Meat Loaf introduced the band again for only the 3rd time (I think on the tour). One of Meat Loaf's long time fans once told me that he has favourites on each tour and it's very obvious that this time it's Patti. While I can understand that, I feel that the musicians on stage have really been side-lined on this tour whicjh is such a shame as they are all so talented and Meat Loaf would be totally lost without them.
Tonight they dropped Rock'n'Roll Dreams from the encore which I thought was a real shame as I really enjoy that song. However after they sang Why Don't We Do It In The Road and Roadhouse Blues, they came back on stage again and played both Mercury Blues and Black Betty which was great! (I'd heard that they'd played Mercury Blues at a few soundchecks on this tour.)
Kasim had to count Meat Loaf in at the beginning of Black Betty!
It then took us about an hour to get out of the car park onto the main road - the wonders of playing a UK outdoor concert!

Tonight Kasim Sulton plays the 8th concert of The Meat Loaf Casa De Carne Tour. The concert tonight is at Blickling Hall near Norwich, Norfolk, England. This will be Kasim's second gig at this venue as he played here on Friday 15th July 2005 (again with Meat Loaf).
Blickling Hall is a National Trust property. They are a British organization that protect and maintain historic properties. This place is described as a "magnificent Jacobean house with gardens and park, famed for its long gallery, fine tapestries, paintings and rare books and is reputedly home to the headless ghost of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second queen who was beheaded"!
The concert tonight is scheduled to start at 8.00pm with the gates opening at 6.30pm. This is a General Admission gig and tickets (from the door) are £37.50 (about $65). A Meet and Greet with Meat Loaf is also available for an additional £155 (about $300). This is a picnic style concert and lots of families attend the whole series of concerts here with their picnics (for example Boyzone are playing here next Sunday).
The temperature for this concert is expected to be about 61 degrees and there is a 40% chance of precipitation during the concert itself.
