Hawking Due to the circumstances at this concert(!) I’d feel funny writing a review but this was a lovely venue with very friendly staff. When I arrived at about 7.00pm there was a queue to get in all along the balcony and down the stairs to the ground floor! Apparently it holds 700 people and was sold out within 2 days! (I was told that in the first day sales were only open to people subscribed to a local radio station mailing list and they sold 400 tickets that day!) Although it was a General Admission venue there were seats right up to the stage again worked on a first come, first served basis. The gig started about 15 minutes late and lasted almost exactly 2 hours. The sound (at least where I sat!) was excellent and the band all played well IMHO. Jesse broke a couple of strings (but that’s quite usual for him!). Kasim was back to his usual happy self again tonight. Right at the beginning of the gig lots of people were calling various things out so Todd said that he couldn’t hear what any of them were saying. After 3 songs he said that he’d get one "festering sore" out of the way and announced that it was Kasim’s birthday so they put the spotlight on him briefly! Kasim had a large bouquet of flowers and a birthday card on his amplifier. Roll on Philadelphia tomorrow!

"Todd Rundgren's sold-out show at the Tralf was a real treat for fans. Seems to me Rundgren could sell out a few nights in a row at the venue, and rumors were bouncing around the club on the evening of the show concerning a return date later on during this current tour."
"BTW - noticed Kasim at the back of the hall before the show. What a hottie he is! We were celebrating my birthday at this event - and I found out when the show started that it was also Kasim's birthday! What a great way to celebrate!!"
"This band should be playing to sold out arenas coast to coast. "
"Saturday, in a filled-tocapacity Tralf, Rundgren offered a deeply moving set of tunes culled from throughout his career. For the first time in ages, he is touring without a brand-new record to promote, hitting the road simply for the love of it, by appearances. So the set list was eclectic, stuffed with something to satisfy every Todd-head."
"Kasim doesn’t need any more praise, he is simply the best bass player around and he does everything effortlessly."

The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
This venue sells a selection of food (ribs, burgers etc). Apparently The Tralf had money problems back in 2005 and closed in June of that year but managed to re-open in the Fall. Originally it was known as The Trafalmadore Cafe.
Click here to view the venue website. Tickets for this concert sold out about a month ago (although some scalpers were selling a pair online for $500!). Tickets were $29.50 (plus charges) and doors open at 7.00pm, with the gig starting at 8.00pm. This is an 21+ show.
