Anything For Love
Review by Daniela Korba:
I waited with a few friends patiently at AWD-Dome until the doors opened at 6.40pm and we went to the front.
CC opened at 7.45 pm and she did very well. It seems to me she was very relaxed and I enjoyed her opening-set! I am glad she did the opening-sets in Germany, so we could enjoy her singing lead-vocals for around 25 minutes. It was a pleasure to watch and hear her sing.
After CC left the stage and little changes for Meat's show, the main-show started and I and the people around me had fun from the first second onwards. Meat was in a good mood, the band as well. Everyone on stage had a lot of fun from the beginning until the last song "Gimme Shelter". Kasim, Randy, Aspen and all were laughing and smiling and it was just fun and a great night. Difficult to describe for me but there was really action that night on stage.
It seems to me everyone was happy. It was brilliant, can`t say more.
This time Meat introduced the band during "Gimme Shelter" - except Randy. Randy played an accoustic-solo before and Meat introduced him after that.
The setlist was a little bit shorter than in Dortmund, but I donīt mind at all.
For me it was one of the best shows ever (the best so far!!!) - and I will always remember my 1st Meat Loaf-show in 1993. So these 2 shows are my favorites -and I will never forget it.
I have to say: Thank you for a brilliant night - Kasim, Randy, David, Aspen, John, CC, Mark, Paul & Meat.

The venue (taken from the KasimInfo.com Blog that day):
The concert tonight is at the AWD Dome which used to be called Stadthalle Bremen (it is now named after a financial company) which was built in the early 1960s. The venue is not dome shaped but was probably given that part of its name as there is already an AWD Arena (in Hannover). Since its $50 million refurbishment in 2005 it has been expanded from seating 3,500 to 14,000, although tonight's concert is mainly a standing concert.
The concert starts at 8.00pm tonight (3.00pm in New York City) with doors opening at 6.30pm (1.30pm NYC time). One complaint lots of fans have about concerts in Germany is that certain fans are allowed into the venues early (due to their "connections") so that when fans who have queued up outside for 3 or 4 hours get inside most of the front row or Bat Cave has already been taken.
